English Teacher

English Teacher – KS3–KS4 – September Start – Permanent

Location: Hertfordshire
Salary: MPS/UPS (dependent on experience)
Start Date: September 2025
Contract Type: Permanent, Full-Time

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering English lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4. You will be expected to plan and deliver engaging lessons, assess student progress, and contribute to a supportive and collaborative English department.

Key Responsibilities:

• Delivering high-quality English lessons across KS3–KS4

• Planning, preparing, and assessing work to facilitate positive student outcomes

• Maintaining high standards of classroom behaviour

• Supporting the wider school community and extracurricular activities

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent overseas qualification

• Experience teaching English at KS3 and KS4 (applications from ECTs are welcome)

• Strong subject knowledge and a passion for English language and literature

• Excellent communication and classroom management skills

• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
