Experienced Fundraiser & Bid Writer (Part-Time)
Initial 3-6 months | Remote | Flexible hours
Child labour. Abuse. Exploitation. Child marriage.
For more than 20 years, Kidasha has worked alongside trusted local partners to improve the safety, wellbeing and life chances of children and young people growing up in urban poverty in Nepal. We develop practical, evidence-based approaches that improve children’s lives today while helping schools, communities and local government build stronger systems for the future.
As a small but highly effective charity, strong fundraising is essential to sustaining and growing our impact – and that’s where you come in.
The Role
We are looking for an experienced fundraiser and bid writer who can help strengthen and diversify our income. You’ll work closely with our Chief Executive to identify opportunities, prepare bids, build strategic partnerships and secure funding that enables us to reach more children and families.
Responsibilities
- Research and pursue opportunities across trusts, foundations, institutional funders, corporates and high-value individuals.
- Write compelling, credible funding applications, concept notes and proposals.
- Build and nurture long-term relationships with funders and partners.
- Maintain a clear pipeline of prospects, deadlines and follow-ups within existing system.
- Work with the Chief Executive and programme team to gather strong impact data and stories.
- Support the development of pitches and presentations, as required.
Requirements
- Proven fundraising and/or bid-writing experience, ideally within the charity or international development sector.
- Excellent written communication - clear, persuasive and evidence-led.
- Confidence building relationships and representing an organisation externally.
- Strategic thinking and the ability to spot and shape long-term opportunities.
- Strong organisation, accuracy and ability to work independently.
- Understanding of safeguarding, confidentiality and sensitive communication.
The Difference You Will Make
Your work will directly help children return to school, access safe training and employment, improve their wellbeing and confidence, and grow up free from violence and exploitation. You will play a key role in securing the funding that keeps our programmes running - and expanding - where they’re needed most.
