We are seeking an experienced and visionary Head of Development to lead the delivery of an ethical and sustainable investment strategy driving real global impact.

Salary: £65,000–£70,000 per annum

Location: Remote (with national and international travel as required)

Hours: 35 hours per week

About the Role

This is a rare and exciting opportunity to take a pivotal senior leadership role within an ambitious organisation committed to child protection online. As Head of Development, you will spearhead the implementation of a dynamic and ethical Investment Strategy to drive funding in pursuit of its mission.

As Head of Development, you will play a key role in shaping how the organisation develops and maintains a sustainable funding model. This will include managing and growing relationships with donors, creating innovative funding pipelines, and embedding a culture of investment readiness across the organisation.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading the design and delivery of a values-led Investment Strategy.
  • Cultivating and managing relationships with new and existing donors and partners.
  • Designing stewardship and reporting frameworks aligned with donor and legal requirements.
  • Building internal capability and buy-in across senior leaders, staff and board members.
  • Representing the organisation externally as a credible and persuasive ambassador, and playing an active role in the senior management team.

About You

You are a dynamic and strategic leader with extensive experience in development, fundraising, or philanthropy, ideally within complex, mission-driven or start-up-like environments. You bring:

  • A proven track record in designing and delivering successful investment or fundraising strategies.
  • Creative and outside the box thinking to generate new income options.
  • Confidence in negotiating, influencing and communicating at senior stakeholder levels.
  • Strong knowledge of a range of funding mechanisms including governments, NGOs, trusts, foundations, the private sector, high value philanthropy, and innovative finance models.
  • Leadership experience with the ability to inspire, coach and build high-performing teams.
  • Financial and operational acumen to oversee complex budgets, reporting and compliance.
  • A deep commitment to ethical funding practices is essential.
  • You will also bring an inclusive, values led leadership style that thrives in diverse, fast-moving environments.
