Sleep-in Care Support Worker

We are seeking compassionate individuals to provide overnight support to adults with learning disabilities, ensuring safety, dignity and wellbeing.

Position: Sleep-in Care Support Worker
Salary: £86.63 per night
Location: Lawford, Manningtree and Mistley (CO11 2NJ)
Hours: Full time, minimum 2 shifts per week including weekends and bank holidays
Contract: Permanent
Closing Date: Ongoing

About the Role

As a Sleep-in Care Support Worker, you will provide essential overnight support within a supported living setting, helping individuals live as independently as possible.

Key responsibilities include:
• Supporting tenants in the evening with social activities and meal preparation
• Providing overnight support and responding to any emergencies
• Assisting with personal care and promoting good hygiene
• Administering and recording medication
• Using digital care planning systems to record support provided
• Ensuring the safety, comfort and wellbeing of all individuals

You will be expected to be awake between 8pm and 10pm and 7am and 8am, with sleep-in hours in between. Additional payment is provided if support is required during the night.

Please note, initial training will take place during daytime hours until you are assessed as competent to work independently at night.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:
• A caring, empathetic and patient approach
• Strong communication skills
• A willingness to support with personal care and medication
• A recognised Care Certificate (desirable)
• Experience within a supported living or care setting (desirable)
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and bank holidays
