Support Worker

We are seeking caring and committed individuals to join a supportive team delivering high quality care across a range of services in Dorset.

Positions: Various available including; Senior Support Worker, Support Worker and Night Support Worker

Location: Weymouth, Dorchester, Stalbridge, Sherborne, Bridport and Crossways
Salary: £12.71 to £14.11 per hour depending on role and experience
Hours: Full time, typically 37.5 to 38 hours per week (day and night roles available)
Contract: Permanent

About the Role

We are recruiting for a range of Support Worker, Night Support Worker and Senior Support Worker roles across multiple services. These positions offer the opportunity to make a real difference to people with learning disabilities and mental health needs, supporting them to live independently and achieve positive outcomes.

Key responsibilities may include:

  • Providing high quality, person centred care and support
  • Supporting with daily living tasks including personal care, meal preparation and medication
  • Promoting independence, wellbeing and community engagement
  • Building positive relationships with the people you support
  • Maintaining accurate records and reporting changes in needs
  • Following safeguarding and health and safety procedures
  • For senior roles, supporting team members and ensuring high standards of care delivery
  • For night roles, remaining awake and alert, carrying out checks and maintaining a safe environment

You will work as part of a supportive team, contributing to a safe, inclusive and positive environment.

About You

  • Compassionate, patient and committed to delivering excellent care
  • Strong communication skills and a team focused approach
  • Willingness to learn and complete training such as the Care Certificate
  • Flexible to work shifts including evenings and weekends
  • For senior roles, previous experience in social care and confidence supporting a team
