We are looking for a Casework Support Worker to join a dedicated organisation supporting women involved in sex work and those at risk of exploitation.

This is a fantastic opportunity to provide high-quality, trauma-informed support to people who may be experiencing complex challenges, crisis or significant barriers to accessing services.

The Role

As Casework Support Worker, you will provide person-centred, trauma-informed support tailored to the individual needs of each service user.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Managing a caseload of individuals requiring crisis, immediate and longer-term support
• Carrying out holistic assessments to identify needs, risks and appropriate interventions
• Developing and reviewing person-centred support plans
• Providing practical support, advocacy, information, signposting and referrals
• Supporting individuals with issues including housing, welfare benefits, healthcare, mental health, safety and other complex needs
• Helping service users overcome barriers to accessing services and opportunities
• Supporting individuals to develop confidence, resilience and greater independence
• Accompanying service users to appointments and meetings where appropriate
• Identifying safeguarding concerns and undertaking risk assessments
• Making emergency referrals where required and contributing to risk management plans
• Advocating on behalf of service users and working collaboratively with statutory, voluntary and community organisations
• Participating in multi-agency meetings and contributing to coordinated support planning

The role will also involve supporting outreach activities where required and proactively engaging with people from marginalised and hard-to-reach communities.

About You

We are looking for someone who can build warm, trusting and professional relationships, while maintaining clear boundaries and managing sensitive or challenging situations confidently.

You will have:

• Experience of providing frontline support to vulnerable or marginalised people
• Experience of undertaking assessments, advocacy, referrals and support planning
• Experience of managing a caseload and delivering person-centred support
• Experience of maintaining accurate case records and monitoring information
• A good understanding of safeguarding and risk management
• Excellent communication, influencing and interpersonal skills
• The ability to build trusting relationships with people experiencing multiple disadvantage
• The ability to work in a trauma-informed, person-centred and solution-focused way
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions in sensitive situations
• The ability to manage competing priorities within a busy service
• Competency using Microsoft Office and electronic case management or client database systems

Experience within the sex work sector, housing, welfare or mental health services would be advantageous but is not essential. Knowledge of harm reduction interventions and local services across Nottinghamshire would also be welcomed.

You will need to be able to travel independently throughout Nottinghamshire and work flexibly when required, including some evening outreach.

The role is subject to an Enhanced Adults Workforce DBS Disclosure.
