Healthcare Assistant

We are seeking caring and dedicated Healthcare Assistants to support individuals with mental health needs, learning disabilities, autism, and complex care requirements within a specialist healthcare setting.

Position: Healthcare Assistant
Salary: £13.45 per hour
Location: Derbyshire
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, full-time
Contract: Permanent

This is a rewarding opportunity to join a specialist service supporting adults with mental health needs, learning disabilities, autism, and complex care requirements. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you will play an important role in helping individuals achieve greater independence, wellbeing, and quality of life.

Key responsibilities include:

• Supporting the delivery of individual care plans under the guidance of qualified healthcare professionals

• Providing practical and emotional support to individuals in a respectful and person-centred way

• Assisting with personal care, including dressing, bathing, and toileting where required

• Promoting dignity, independence, and wellbeing at all times

• Observing and monitoring physical, emotional, and mental wellbeing

• Reporting and recording any changes in presentation or concerns appropriately

• Supporting therapeutic activities and daily living tasks

• Building positive and professional relationships with the people you support and the wider team

• Maintaining accurate records in line with organisational policies and procedures
