We are seeking an experienced Team Leader or Service Manager ready to take the next step in a rewarding, flexible leadership role supporting vulnerable people.

Location: Charnwood, Leicestershire
Salary: £35,020 rising to £36,050 FTE – Pro rata
Hours: 22.5 hours per week, worked over 3 days
Working arrangements: Part-time with some hybrid working available

About the role

Are you looking for a meaningful leadership opportunity that offers flexibility, independence and the chance to make a real difference?

We are looking for a motivated and compassionate Service Manager to lead a small, dedicated team delivering vital housing and community support services across Charnwood and Leicestershire.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Team Leader or Deputy Manager looking to progress, or an established Service Manager seeking a rewarding part-time position.

You will have the autonomy to manage day-to-day operations, make decisions and develop services that help people facing homelessness, housing insecurity and financial hardship.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading, supporting and developing a team of four staff, comprising two full-time and two part-time employees.
  • Overseeing the delivery of housing, homelessness prevention and community support services.
  • Managing service performance, quality and outcomes within agreed budgets.
  • Ensuring safeguarding standards, policies and procedures are maintained.
  • Supporting staff with complex cases and operational challenges.
  • Building positive relationships with partner organisations, funders and stakeholders.
  • Identifying opportunities to improve services and achieve better outcomes for the people supported.

About you

You don't necessarily need to have worked directly in homelessness to be successful in this role.

We welcome applications from candidates with relevant experience in supported housing, social care, community services or other support-focused environments.

You will ideally bring:

  • Experience of leading, supervising or managing a team.
  • Strong organisational, communication and problem-solving skills.
  • An understanding of safeguarding and supporting vulnerable individuals.
  • The confidence to work independently and make operational decisions.
  • Experience of monitoring performance and maintaining service standards.
  • A compassionate, practical and person-centred approach.

Whether you're an established manager or a confident Team Leader ready for your next challenge, we'd love to hear from you.

About the organisation

You will be joining a friendly, close-knit charity committed to preventing and overcoming homelessness and helping local people build safer, more stable futures.

The organisation values collaboration, professional development and the wellbeing of its employees.

Benefits include flexible working, additional holiday, training and development opportunities, and the chance to make a genuine difference within your community.

Additional information: Applicants must be able to travel across Charnwood and Leicestershire. An enhanced DBS check is required.

Other roles you may have experience of could include Housing Services Manager, Supported Housing Manager, Community Services Manager, Support Services Manager, Deputy Service Manager, Homelessness Services Manager, Social Care Team Leader, Senior Support Worker or Operations Manager.
